A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root of your missing tooth. Once it has bonded with your jawbone, a porcelain crown is fitted on top, giving you a tooth that looks, feels and functions like a natural one.
Whether the tooth is gone or about to be removed, the gap leaves the jawbone unstimulated and prone to shrinkage over time.
